On the continent, far away from Kalland, war breaks out. King Arthur vows to keep his populace out of harms way but feels a moral pull to help those affected by the war.
While the majority of the kingdom takes kindly to the King's acceptance of refugee children and families; there is a small number who find the influx of foreigners unnerving and harmful to the economy.
When Princess Evelyn is born it helps remind people that all children deserve the right to be raised in a loving family away from fear. Eve is a symbol of new life and hope [although August is starting to get a little annoyed at how outnumbered he is!] and for the kingdom she has come at just the right time to realign people's loyalties and perspectives.
