Nic has the devil's own luck! Her first birth is multiple? That's right, not even a month ago, Colette and Julius came into this world! Nic ABSOLUTELY HATED being known as Nicole H. (as opposed to some other Nicole S. or Nicole D.), so to avoid this happening, she insisted on less popular names for her first child. Lucas agreed, only if the child's middle name honored family. Surely enough, Julius's middle name was the same as Nic's last name, and Colette's middle name was related to that of her mother. Having two children around the house is a hassle, and the two have occasionally forwent attending their jobs, but it's all worth it for Colette and Julius.

Three month after getting married, Margot finds out she's pregnant! While they weren't planning on having kids so soon, the newlyweds are happy nevertheless. Their baby boy was born on June 7, a little bit before our one year anniversary. They decided to name him Chadwick Samuel; Margot always loved the name Chadwick while his middle is after Jim's late grandfather. Little Chad seems to inherit Jim's charming and sweet personality, having relatives and strangers instantly fall in love. The arrival of Chad has definitely changed their daily routine (especially their sleeping habits), but they're getting the hang of it.

Kaia's pregnancy just three months after their wedding came as a huge surprise to the couple for several reasons. First they did not plan on a baby so early into their marriage and second according to Kaia's doctor she shouldn't even be able to conceive on her own. Despite the initial surprise they were both happy to welcome a baby into their little family.

William James Walker, named after both his grandfathers, was born all healthy and with a strong pair of lungs shortly before his parents first wedding anniversary. He has a head full of his mamma's blond hair and his daddy's blue eyes. Apart from this it's still discutable whom he favors in his looks. He is so far a calm baby. His favorite past time activities include nursing, pooping, sleeping and cudling with his parents. For now Kaia enjoys her maternity leave and dreads the time when she'll have to leave her baby boy in daycare and return to work. Bennett has cut his overtimes to an acceptable minuimum and spends a lot of time with his little family.

Stefan and Anya are proud to announce the arrival of baby Octavia!

It hasn't been plain sailing as just three months into married life Anya takes a pregnancy test that comes back positive - it was a bit of a shock to the system as the young couple didn't have a huge amount of income or space but nevertheless they were excited. Stefan started putting in extra shifts at the police academy to save up money and Anya dabbles in journalism and blogging.

Several weeks before due, baby makes an appearance! Stefan and Anya had chosen to not find out the gender and are delighted when the midwife hands the wriggling newborn to Anya with the confirmation - it's a girl! They are almost settled on her name before she is born and meeting her confirms this; Octavia Mary Sapphire has very dark hair like her mummy and gorgeous green-blue eyes. Octavia is a name of Anya's choosing while Mary is of important significance to both of them and Sapphire is a gem name from the baby's late September birthday.

The first few days home from the hospital have been tiring, amazing and chaotic! Stefan's had time off work to be there for Anya and Octavia, and family have rallied round to provide support when and where needed. Octavia is generally a good baby though she can be grumpy sometimes - especially when left alone - she's very curious and loves to look at people's faces and pull hair! Where Anya had been doing most of the cooking before, she now finds herself too tired so Stefan batch cooks on the weekend and Anya does some heating and washing when she can. Sisters Ellie and Iona have been indispensable, bringing around casseroles and babysitting while Anya catches some zzzs. As Octavia settled into a routine and Anya gets used to motherhood she finds the time to continue her writing, continuing to earn money from home by auctioning her scripts and working on novel transcripts.

Dominic and Taylor had been planning in starting a family after they had gotten married so they weren't using any protection. They hadn't actually started the 'trying' part before Taylor realized that she was already pregnant. Both of them were overjoyed and couldn't wait for their baby to arrive. And Dominic got even happier when he found out that he was about to have a son!
Their son was born the week before their first anniversary. They decided to name him Elliot, and used Charles as a middle name as it's a family tradition in Dominic's family for the first born son.

About 3 months after their wedding, Eleanor had some big news to share - she was pregnant! Fabian was terrified at first: would Eleanor be okay, would the baby be okay, how would they take aare of their child when they both worked full-time? In the end, however, he calmed down, and realised that Eleanor was more than capable of handling whatever pregnancy and motherhood threw at her. And it threw a lot at her. She suffered from terrible sickness from about 3 months onwards, and often had to miss work before her maternity leave (thankfully, her parents were understanding!). She felt pretty miserable, all cooped up, often unable to move because she felt so bad. Fabian did his best to support her, but he couldn't magically make her better, and that took its toll on him, too. Eleanor went into labour at 7 and a half months, and after about 8 hours, the Fairchilds' first son was born. He was named John after Eleanor's father, and Pascal after Fabian's. A month and a half later, the exhausted parents celebrated their first anniversary. John is a very curious child, constantly getting into trouble and worrying his parents; however, he's also very friendly and loves to meet new people. Often, when both parents are at work, Eleanor's mum Pam comes and takes care of John - both grandmother and grandson enjoy spending time with each other!

Nova finds out she is pregnant, three months after her wedding. This was a big surprise, because both husband and wife were unsure of their fertility. Stetson was eager to have kids, while Nova was unsure. But since they are doing well mentally, medically, and financially, the two happily welcome a baby girl, who they named Adeline Kia Smith. They'll have to reschedule their anniversay plans, though, because that's exactly when their baby girl decided to be born! Adeline is not a very friendly baby (yet). She sleeps a lot and is very fussy when she is awake. Nova has taken time off work to care for the baby.

Esmeralda finds out she is pregnant with a baby girl. The couple is really not surprised that it's a girl, considering both Esmeralda and Sasha have multiple older sisters. They're also not surprised they're expecting so young, because Esmeralda's mother had her oldest daughter at age 17, and Sasha's mother had her oldest daughter at age 19. The couple playfully nicknames the baby girl Nani before she is born, but her full name is Araceli Nataliya. Nani is a very quiet and content baby. She didn't even cry as she was born, which scared Esmeralda and Sasha because they thought she wasn't breathing. Nani was born with her mother's features: tan skin, dark hair and dark eyes. Esmeralda's mother calls her "poco cielo", Spanish for "little sky" because Araceli means altar of the sky.

While Jon and Katie frequently talked about having a family, Katie was still shocked to find out she was expecting just three months after the wedding! Katie and Jon quickly located a two bedroom apartment to rent and moved in at the end of Katie's first trimester. Though Katie's due date was three days after their first wedding anniversary, Elijah Jude Lennox was born at 4 am on their anniversary! Jon suggested the name after poring through one of Katie's baby name books. Katie liked the name too, and it stuck. Baby Eli was born healthy and discharged home on his original due date with no restrictions. He is a quiet baby, and he sleeps most of the time. Katie is still learning how to care for Eli, and Jon is completely out of his element. Neither of them have siblings, but both want more than one child. Right now though, they are just trying to survive their first infant.

Three months after the wedding, Jess found out through a pregnancy test that she was pregnant! She and Felix were overjoyed with the news, even though they weren’t planning on starting their family THIS soon. They spent the next six months planning for the new arrival, including converting the spare room into a nursery. Jess suggested to Felix that they not decorate the nursery until they find out the baby’s gender, so when it was revealed to be a girl, they got started! The nursery has a butterfly theme, with light pink, butterfly-speckled walls, a white crib and matching furniture, and even a mobile with butterflies on it.

To pick the name, Felix decided to poll his class of geometry students and asked them what their favorite girl names were. He got loads of suggestions, but the one that stood out the most was Annabelle. When Felix ran it by Jess, she was delighted, because she’d been thinking about the same name! Annabelle’s middle name would be Rayne, a mashup of Felix’s and Jess’s middle names.

Annabelle Rayne Stephens arrived at 8:33 am the day before Felix and Jess’s anniversary, after a twelve-hour labor. She’s a tiny baby, but that’s because it runs in Jess’s family. Annabelle has Jess’s brown hair and Felix’s blue eyes, and she seems to favor Felix. She also will wake up five times per night for feedings, which is taking a toll on Felix’s and Jess’s sleep schedules. Nonetheless, Annabelle is very much loved.

Surprise baby! Bronwen and Pascal were not expecting to be parents so early on, but they are not complaining. The couple are looking forward to welcoming their little girl. They just found out the gender recently, and couldn’t be happier. Bronwen is planning on taking more days off work soon to prepare for the baby, but so far they aren’t changing much of their daily lives.

Little Di - Diantha was born a month before their first anniversary, making her a spring baby. Di’s first name is Dutch, the name of a relative on Pascal’s side, and her middle name, Winifred, is Welsh, honoring Bronwen’s roots. So far, she’s a little bubble of laughter, but her parents aren’t getting much sleep. Oh well - they’ll make up for it when she’s older. Bronwen has taken less hours at work to stay home and look after Di while Pascal is in class. So far, all is well!
