[Games] Re: Kaesy's Royal Congrats Round 3
in reply to a message by Kaesy
DH: King Edward "Ned" Stephen George Buchanan
DW: Queen Héloïse Marion Juliette Louise (Durand) Buchanan
-DS: Prince Cyril William Henry Buchanan
-DS: Prince Elias Matthew James Buchanan
-DS: Prince Arthur John Louis Buchanan
Ned's been king for nigh on 4 years now, and he's beginning to adjust to life as a monarch. He's aware that power is quietly being syphoned away from him, that Parliament makes most of the decisions now, but he still has the ultimate authority on many laws, and he understands that the people need a figure to look up to. Times are rather hard - the last few winters have been tough on the population, especially those who have not yet migrated to the cities. The threat of war with France looms (look I'm just making up history here), and while no one has publicly acknowledged it yet, ministers have been warning the king that he will have to remain an example for his citizens. Many people, both civilians and officials, mistrust the French Queen Héloïse, but Ned defends her right to rule beside him, and they are largely pacified by the birth of a third prince, named after a British hero.
