Honestly, Mona to me quite simply means 'One Who Moans', and I wouldn't touch it with a ... well, I've never seen a bargepole, so let's say a pole-vaulter's pole.

Definitely Luna, it's one of my favorite names. Mona, on the other hand, is annoying to me. It makes me think of the word moan so I imagine a whiny little kid or someone in pain.

I love it! I would choose Mona over Luna in a heartbeat. Luna has a sort of juvenile feel to it, and I can't see it aging nicely on most people. Mona, on the other hand, is a sweet name for a little girl and a soft, charming name for an adult. I think someone named Mona would be very smart, sweet, and quiet. ❤
