Liam and Carrie met while Carrie was purchasing eye drops to treat her dry eyes. She fell for Liam’s Persian accent, and they soon started dating. Now, they’re married and living in Bucharest, Romania, where Carrie teaches ESL and Liam works at a local pharmacy.

Liam and Carrie have started their family with a puppy! Buddy, an Australian shepherd, was given to Carrie as a birthday present, and she loves him to pieces. Buddy isn’t quite housetrained yet and chews on anything he can get to, but he’s learning to break his habits.
Year 2: Career – pay raise (Carrie)
Carrie received a pay raise this year, which was a blessing because now she and Liam would be able to afford obedience training for Buddy.

Nicholas is after a character in “The Taming of the Shrew”, which Liam had read in high school, and Bennett was one of Carrie’s favorite names. As for Buddy, he’s taken very well to the new arrival.

Carrie has been looking for a friend for Buddy, and she finally found one in a young black Lab she saw at the shelter. Luna is only eight months old and had been an unwanted Christmas present. Carrie and Luna bonded the minute Carrie looked into Luna’s cage, and after a quick call to Liam, she brought her home. Buddy and Luna are now the best of friends, and Buddy is a very good alpha dog.

Nick especially enjoys Sandra’s company, because Sandra is always spoiling him rotten with her cherry pie and cookies.

Sandra has taken up writing as a hobby, and she’s working on her autobiography. The book will talk about her life as a child and what it was like back then, continuing through the present. Carrie has been a big help with editing and proofreading, too.

Lidia is afraid of strangers, so she hasn’t come out of her shell yet; Gabriel, on the other hand, is a social butterfly and loves to play with Nick and the dogs.

Carrie has once again given birth. After two boys, Carrie and Liam were shocked to find out they were expecting a girl! Lidia was thrilled, too, since she used to be the only girl, and she got to name her. She picked the name Stella, and Carrie helped her with the middle name by suggesting Faith. Stella came three weeks early, so she had to stay in the NICU for a week before coming home. Nonetheless, she’s a happy baby and is already being protected by her brothers.

Unfortunately, Buddy has been hit by a car, and the vet couldn’t save him in time. Nick was very close to him, so it hit him even harder than it did Carrie. Buddy was buried in the backyard, and he has a tombstone to mark his grave.
