[Opinions] Friend BA
My friend Amir and his wife Yasmin have welcomed their first child, a girl, today. Her name is Zaida Noor. Both names are honoring - Zaida honors Amir's grandmother while Noor honors one of Yasmin's aunts.(Both Amir and his wife are Muslims, although neither of them are particularly devout. Amir is full-blooded Lebanese while Yasmin is three-quarters Lebanese and one-quarter Syrian.)WDYT?

NMS but very nice with a good flow. For some reason, Zaida doesn't seem as harsh to me unlike other Z names (Zelda, Zipporah). I also like that the family set sounds great together (not that it matters in the long run): Amir, Yasmin (love it), and little Zaida.

It's a beautiful name. I especially like Noor, which is one of my goddaughter's middle names too (different spelling though)

That is a gorgeous name! I haven't heard Zaida before. I've been into zippy little names for a bit, and Noor is always beautiful.

It is a lovely combination both names go beautifully together and the meaning of the entire name is fantastic. I like Zaida never thought about it before and Noor is absolutely beautiful. Please Vote PNL: http://www.behindthename.com/pnl/151224

I like the sound of Zaida but not the meaning, and I like the meaning of Noor but not the sound, so I think it's a great combo (as Pink Princess pointed out, the combined meaning "to increase light" is beautiful). I think it's nice that both names are honoring as well.

I like the fact her fn and mn combined means, "To increase light", that's just beautiful. The sound of the name is quite nice too. My DH is Lebanese / Syrian also!

I adore Noor. I'm so over Z names at the moment, I feel like they are just exploding!I've actually taught a few Noor's both boy and girl. It's a lovely name.
