Love both. I'd only use them as nns, but wouldn't find it objectionable (would find it interesting, in fact) to see them on a birth certificate.

I agree with you, I would be pleasantly surprised to meet anyone name Bridie or Birdie. I use to really dislike nickname names, but I can see the appeal of them recently. I love your username btw.
