Yr1: Maria's hard work has earned her a promotion; she now has a permanent column in one of the Big Five newspapers.
Yr2: Maria and Dom are thrilled to be expecting their first baby; but the pregnancy comes with a shock when their first scan (at 10 weeks) revealed two heartbeats! Luckily the pregnancy runs smoothly and Maria gives birth to fraternal twin boys at 38 weeks. Welcome Leland Elijah Arnold with straight, red hair and brown eyes and Parker Drew Arnold with curly, brown hair and brown eyes.
Yr3: Maria's new role as mum inspires her to find out more about post-natal attitudes and care; she goes back to university for a one-year opportunity to discover about the media's portrayal of and influence on parents.
Yr4: While the twins are still young, Dom and Maria decide to escape the rat-race for a few months and go on a retreat to rural Ireland for six months. They become closer as a family and it inspires a lot of material for their individual journalism careers.
Yr5: The rural-retreat last year prompts a move from inner-city to a small town in Sussex.
Yr6: With space to fill, and after doing to recent segment on childbirth and attitudes towards mothers in Africa, Maria and Dom decide to internationally adopt. They're paired with a 3 year old orphan from Ethiopia. Welcome Neo with curly, black hair and dark brown eyes. Maria and Dom keep Neo's first name but give her the middle name Natasha on her adoption certificate.
Yr7: Oh my! Less than a year after Neo's arrival, Maria is expanding the family again with a single pregnancy. They don't find out the gender until the baby is born... Welcome Ivy Freya Arnold with straight, brown hair and brown eyes.
Yr8: Maria and Dom renovate the house including building an extension to cater for their expanding brood. It means some uncomfortable living conditions for a little while but in the end the house and family are much better for it!
Yr9: Welcome: Neptune! The family's newest addition in the form of a pet turtle.
Yr10: "Just one more baby"... Suddenly turned into chaos when Maria's 'last' pregnancy reveals she is carrying two pairs of identical twin girls - oh my! Welcome: Eve Sara Arnold and Anya Nina Arnold with straight, blonde hair and blue eyes AND Kate Willow Arnold and Sapphire Alice Arnold with wavy, blonde hair and green eyes.
Maria (30) and Dom (39) with: Leland & Parker (8), Neo (7), Ivy (3), Eve & Anya & Kate & Sapphire (nb); plus Neptune (18mo).
