I like Robin. It's soft and sweet and I like names like that.
I kind of hate Robert but I don't mind Rob or Robbie. I also quite like Robson.
Robin doesn't seem like a name that would automatically be shortened to Rob/Robbie. I've known a few Robins (all males) and none went by anything other than Robin.
