I don't like it to be honest, it seems too frilly and over the top. I usually love frilly names but this is just too much for me. It is also a one person's name to me, I only think of Donatella Versace. But in Italy it is probably a regular name. When I met a 17 year old with this name not too long ago I was really surprised. I guess I didn't even think that Donatella was Donatella Versace's real name and that it was actually used as a given name. It seemed like a brand name to me or something. It sounds like a brand for lipstick or make-up or something. So I personally don't like it, sorry :(

Yeah I was wondering about D. Versace too, but a) it's not that bad an association b) in Italy it's common enough that it wont be the sole association people have.
