[Opinions] Dove and Django
I've been liking these two, lately. What do you think? Dove would be for a girl, and Django (pronunced JANG-go) for a boy.
What do you think of these combos: Dove Ardelia and Django Ray?

Lamb and Lynx...Gah! Those two utterly ruined Lynx for me. I used to really like it for a boy.

They have a sister named Dresden too...
And, yes, they are horrible. But I think it's their mother who's the worst of them all.

Wow, those are intense, lol. I've always secretly fancied Django. However, I don't like to use names that are so totally associated with one person. Also (and I think this is both a good and a bad thing, lol), I believe that Django is a derivative of the Santeria devil (Shango). Doves, on the other hand, just bother me. I just find them really annoying. They have a tendency to leave their droppings all over my backyard, so I don't have too much interest in Dove as a name.

Not necessarily, though if you have some reasons for this suspicion, I'd love to hear them! :D The name appears to be of unknown origin, though some theories of its origins have been put forward.
They've discussed it on the Name Facts board before:

The general consensus seems to be that it could be a pet form or Rom form of John / Jean.

Hmm, I originally heard this from my dad, who's a jazz nut, and who knows a good bit about Santeria (not that he practices the religion, lol). I believe he offered some info, but I can't remember...hmm, I'll have to ask again.
I like the idea of Dove but not the actual sound.
I find Django confusing and don't really like the sound of it either.

How funny, I just added a character named Dove to a story that I'm attempting to write.
Dove Ardelia is lovely, I like it : )
Django is really growing on me, and Django Ray sounds great!

Oh I love Django! (I believe it is usually a gypsy name, right?) I don't Ray goes very well with it though. Django Ray sounds like a musical instrument to me (try saying it out loud a few times in a row).
Dove is nice. Ardelia is ok with it, but not great imo. But Dove is a difficult first name to get a good mn with.

I'm not too keen on Dove, it's a little hippyish for my liking. Django is a great name, and I love Django Ray. Dove Ardelia has a nice flow as well, although I don't like either name.
