[Opinions] Re: Rosalind vs. Jocelyn (and more)
in reply to a message by Joiya
Rosalind vs. Jocelyn - I love both but Rosalind is my favorite.
Roberta vs. Josepha - Roberta is my favorite of the two but my absolute favorite is Josephine.
Lenore vs. Yvette - Lenore is my favorite. I also like Lenora which I prefer. Yvette is okay. It reminds me too much of Corvette.
Gail vs. Gale vs. Gayle - I like all of the spellings but Gale is my favorite but only because it is nature related. Gail feels the most like a name and Gayle seems a bit like a surname. As far as my feelings about Gail in general it is just okay. It is such a dated name and it was the name of my annoying middle school core teacher who was young and still acted like a teenager herself. She actually would gossip in class with the girls who were also in her soccer team. They only sucked up to her so they could get away with things. They would brag about it when she wasn't around. She would tease me along with them. Other students who played pranks would be in trouble but those girls could get away with it and Gail would laugh along with them. I probably should have filed a complaint with the principal or something but it never crossed my mind.
BONUS: Do you find Edwarda / Eduarda usable? Any other female options to honor an Edward?
Edwarda/ Eduarda is an okay name. I prefer Edwina but that honors Edwin. As far as spelling I prefer Eduarda.
