He also volunteers in a wildlife shelter and a pet adoption shelter. He's a huge ice-hockey fan. He's an adventurous and skilled but messy cook, and enjoys DIY and 'tinkering' with stuff around the house.

Astrid Zinoviya Ellingsen - 13 - Astrid is Mina and Matthia's eldest daughter. She's close to a teenager and becoming interested in 'rebelling' for the first time. She likes most heavy music and is discovering make-up as an art form. She likes to paint and draw like her dad, and also likes the outdoors like her mum. She's a skilled ice-skater and a huge hockey fan, with hopes of joining a proper women's ice-hockey team in the future. She does an ice-skating class with kids and is looking forward to new members to their family to help raise.

Saskia Ingrid Ellingsen - 10 - Saskia is shy, wordy, bookish and very clever. She loves maths and physics and numbers of all kind. She's also got an eye for colour and a budding interest in interior design and architecture. She spends her time reading, designing things and playing with her science kits. She plays the violin and enjoys classical music.

Magnus Oskar Ellingsen - 8 - Magnus is a lively, emotional, bubbly child who is fascinated with people and the world around him. He loves talking to new people, making new friends and learning about new cultures, languages, people and ways of life. He likes to read, mostly about other parts of the world, and dreams of travel and adventure. He's loud, sometimes stroppy, and blessed with a very social personality and vivid, creative imagination. He likes having 'adventures' and creating imaginary worlds with his friends. His favourite thing is learning about new people and exotic places.

Nina Camille Ellingsen - 6 - Nina is the youngest and is very close with her brother Magnus. She's a tough, lively tomboy who loves nature, animals, adventure and the world around her. She's probably more fearless than her brother and has worse judgement - she can often be found playing in the garden and climbing trees. Like her brother, she loves new things, people and experience and dreams of travel and adventure. She likes history, especially the Vikings. And she loves cats, especially the family's cats. She's showing signs of keeping a cool head under pressure and being good at planning ahead - she's very, very good at board games, and she loves playing them. Her middle name is in honour of Mina's adoptive mother, Camille Greenaway.

Jasper - Jasper is a feisty, ginger, five year old tomcat. He's friendly, outgoing and adventurous, and very protective of the family, weirdly protective as cats go. He enjoys hanging out around the family, cuddling with them, and 'talking' to them.

Sapphire - Named for her big blue eyes, Sapphire is a three year old, grey-furred cat. She is very sweet and friendly, and usually seen in Saskia's company. Despite a no-pets-on-the-bed policy, Sapphire has slept on Saskia's bed since she was a kitten.

Sabbath - The baby of the bunch, Sabbath is six months old. She's mostly black with a little white bib and white socks on her back feet and big amber eyes. She's lively and often off having adventures.

What is/are the household's religion(s)? N/A. The family is not religious in any way, but open to the idea.

What language(s) do household members speak? Mina speaks Russian and English. She speaks some Belarusian, as her birth family were mostly Belarusian and her adoptive parents tried to keep her speaking it. She learnt French and Spanish in school, and her adoptive mother was half French and half Russian and spoke a lot of both languages to her. Matthias speaks Norwegian and English, some Swedish, some Danish and some Finnish.

Do you travel? If so, how often and where to? They travel often to Norway, Matthia's homeland, and they like to visit Russia, as Mina enjoys exploring her birth-country.

How many children would you like to adopt: 4
Gender(s): Either. They would prefer at least 1 girl and 1 boy.
Age: Newborn - 12. They don't want to adopt older than their eldest child.
Nationality preference: Northern and Eastern European, also Asian, especially former-USSR/central Asian countries but also places like India and China. As Mina speaks French, French-speaking Africa is a third option.
Languages preference: Russian, Belarusian or another Slavic language, any Nordic/Fenno-Scandinavian language, or French.
Religion preference: None. They know a little bit about religion, and would probably prefer a non-religious child, but if the child had a religion they would try to accommodate it.
Will you accept/would you prefer:
--siblings? Yes
--multiples? Yes
--kids with pets? Yes, but only pets that get along with cats - so small animals the cats might eat are out, as are dogs that are aggressive to cats. Cat-friendly dogs, lizards, parrots etc, animals that can live with their existing pets, are fine.
--children with disabilities/illnesses? They will accept children with mild to moderate learning and physical disabilities and illnesses. They won't accept children with emotional/behavioural and terminal conditions, simply because they aren't equipped or educated to deal with these things.
