[Opinions] WDYT of this name and what are some possible nicknames?
I've recently come across the name Cassian and I absolutely love it for a boy. What are your thoughts on the name and would you ever use it?I also got to thinking of possible nicknames for it and couldn't think of any besides Cas. Do any come to mind? Have a look at my name list and leave your ratings!

I actually love Cassian. I pronounce it Cass-ee-an, though Cash-in is also valid. Cas is probably the most obvious nickname, though Cash would work, and so would Ian, Casey, or just C.

I checked Cassian and discovered that the default pronunciation given here is CASHan. CASeean sounds more authentic, and less like a cashier at the end of the day, cashin' up. However, if you're considering Cas as a nn, rather than Cash, then you may be going with the Latin version anyway. What would most people's best guess at pronouncing it be, where you live?

My default is CASS-ee-an.

I'd say most people would by default go with the pronunciation KAS-see-an rather than KASH-en. Perhaps I should have also clarified that KAS-see-an is my preferred pronunciation for this name as well.

Hi !!!Cassian?
I dislike the pronounce. But Cassiano (the Italian variant) is the patron saint of my town. It is pronounced kahs-see-AH-noh.Any NN for Cassian?
Sunny? If it is too childish go with Shea? Yes! I like Shea for it. How about Nash? And what about 'Seek' if he is a curious person?Cassian 'Sunny'
Cassian 'Shea'
Cassian 'Nash'
Cassian 'Seek'Byeeeeeeeeeee

It's nice, but not my style; it sounds a little too trendy to me. I know it's uncommon but it just has a trendy 'feel' to it. I prefer Cassia for a girl. A nickname not mentioned yet could be Ian.

Honestly it's kind of a GP for me at the moment because of the Rogue One movie. I love it and it fits in with my style, but I don't know if I'd really want to name someone after a fictional character. (I know using the name isn't necessarily naming someone after the character... but we are big Star Wars fans, I would always be thinking of it.) I love the sound, though! And it's unique without sounding crazy.
