It is ruined for me because the name of the Royal Sorcerer is Cedric on the kids show Sophia the First. And since my 4 yr old watches regularly I am now done with name.
Other than that I think it is a fine name. Not really used in my part of the world though. I have known one in real life, a very smart two year old named Cedric Emmerson. (first and middle name)
