[Opinions] Canadian Quadruplets
Replies
Mckayla drew the short straw here. Not a huge fan of Grace, either (to me it sounds like the *opposite* of what it actually means). And Emily, while a pretty name, has been rendered milquetoast for me just due to the MANY, MANY people named Emily that I know! Seriously, give it a rest, parents of the world...
But I like Abigail. I know that's not a popular opinion on BtN, but I don't care. I like Abigail.

Very boring. And Mckayla is one ugly name.
Boring, boring (although Abby at least has some energy), boring, and yuck. I'm not a fan, I actually prefer the UK names (totally not biased or anything).
If you were to ask me which names I would NOT name quadruplet girls, this would be pretty close to my answer. I hate the sound of all of these names, yuck!
I don't understand why they went for solid traditional given names with the first three and then suddenly chose a modern, trendy, surnamey-looking name for the last one. It could have been such a distinguished sibset as a whole, but they had to ruin it with Mckayla. I think that was unwise of them, not only for aesthetic reasons, but also because Mckayla will probably grow up feeling like the odd one out with her more "unusual" name. I feel that what they did is kind of similar to families where the children's names all start with a J- except for the last child, or who all have two middle names except for the last child (who has only one middle name), and so on. I feel like: if you're going to go for a certain theme, then stick with it for the whole ride and not drop it somewhere along the way. Be consistent and thorough with your naming patterns. But well, that's just me, I guess....
I like the combination of super popular names and not so popular names. Good choice, Bethani and Tim!
It was very classically sweet until the end. Barf.
If they'd spelled it Michaela, that would certainly be better, but the name still doesn't fit. It's too strong and artsy and golden-yellow to go with the other 3.

Mckayla sticks out and screams. Emily, Abigail and Grace are bland, safe, default-type girls' names, almost interchangeable in their blandness. Mckayla is a really ugly spelling of a name that I actually like a lot. Makayla or Mikayla would be better, if they didn't want to use the original Michaela, which I think is unattractive even if it is the original.
I actually prefer the wacky cartoon UK quads over this milquetoast stuff.
Totally
I agree with you totally.
Same thought.

Better than the UK quads recently posted, but boring.
