Help[Opinions] Roxanne (Roxy)
What do you think of Roxy? Would you spell it Roxy or Roxie? I only like it as a nickname. There is Roxana but I think I prefer Roxanne. I really like it so if I named my child this I would mostly call her by her full name.

Roxanne is my middle name, and I like it okay. It's got a little bit of a redneck vibe to it, I think. I don't like Roxie or Roxy; they sound cheap and also like dog names, but a few of my cousins do call me Roxie for fun.

I've always thought it's cool that you can take the first syllable of your middle name and the first syllable of your first name and make RoxStar, "rock star". Best posting name, user name, whatever you call it, ever, because it makes a common term that has a glamorous vibe, and refers to you specifically at the same time.

I like Roxanne, though I don't love it, spelled that way. I prefer it to Roxana or Roxanna.
Roxie, though---all I can think of is the word "rocks". So it seems tough and brassy to me. Actually, the first syllable sounding like "rocks" is what keeps me from loving Roxanne, though I think the full name is softened to the point that I can like it though not love it.
My daughter had a friend whose sister named her baby Roxie. Just Roxie, it wasn't a nickname. Of the two spellings, I prefer Roxie. Just looks cuter.
