[Opinions] Duncan
What's your impression of Duncan?
Usually I think it's dorky and associate it with Dunkin' Donuts, but lately I'm been thinking it sounds kind of charming.

I think it's a lovely strong Scottish name
It's always had a cheerful, intelligent and energetic vibe for me - and I'd be really disappointed to meet a Duncan who wasn't intellectually honest.
Of course, where I live, doughnuts have always just been doughnuts ... until last month when Krispy Kreme entered the market. No idea if people dunk them, though!

Meh, it's not the worst. I've known a couple of smug, irritating people with it, which puts me off a bit. Name itself is okay. Dunkin Donuts dont have much of a presence in the UK so that's not a strong association for me.
The sound always makes me think of dunking things, like doughnuts into coffee or cookies into milk. I remember there were these kangaroo-shaped cookies when I was a kid, they were called Dunkeroos and came with a little cup of chocolate frosting? sauce? pudding? some kind of chocolate goop to dunk the kangaroos in.
And then of course Duncan Hines brownie mixes.q

It is a little surnamey to me, considering the fact that is my mother's maiden name! I like it otherwise but only as a middle name!
