Magnolia is comically Southern to me. Certainly, as someone who is not a Southerner despite 20 years in the South, I would never consider it. The nn Nola is not terrible but I'm not very fond of it either. Marigold is too simpering and Goldie is terrible. Together the full names match but are not too matchy. As far as matchiness goes, they are along the lines of my sisters' names, Patricia and Pamela. Like Baby Bear's bowl of porridge, chair, and bed, "Just right."
