What do you think of Madalena and Macaria? What would you use for mn's?

I love Magdalena, I am thinking of calling my daughter Lena as I think Magdalena is a bit too long for a first name.

Macaria doesn't appeal to me at all. I think of scarlet macaws and meconium. Not a good combo of images. :/
I like Madalena, though I prefer Magdalena. Madalena is really pretty, provided she doesn't become a Maddie. Dally or Lena would both be very sweet nns.
