[Opinions] Re: Gilda

It's the -ld- sound...right?
Hmm. I think I'm too old. The ld sound is okay to my ears on boys (and now I'm on the spot I can't think of an example), but not ready for reuse on girls?
Gilda sound like Gilded too, which too me is a bit negative.
On the other hand, I like it rather better than -say- Fraser, and if I met a Gilda IRL, I'd probably be pleased.
Gilda Jean / Jeanne is the only thing coming into my head.

I think it's actually the gil- sound, here. :) I could call her Gilly, which is very appealing. But on the other hand, I do love Hildegarde and Hildy, so it might be the -ld-.
I really like Gilda Jean. Jean's my sister's name and what I call her, so it'd be nice to use it.
