Otis and his brother Cletus and sister Beulah Sue live in Punkin Holler and are champions at Cow Chip Bingo. Beulah Sue is this year's Succotash Queen and Otis is Mr. Sassafras.
It's total hillbily, but I suspect it might become a minor hipster/ironic darling for a year or so.
When I was very little I had a Cabbage Patch Kids album on tape, and one of the main characters was a Cabbage Patch boy called Otis Lee. (The two CP girls were Sybil Sadie and Rachel Marie, called Raymee.)
Otis also sounds vaguely breakfast-cereal. Eat your Otis Oat Balls with Sunsweet Prunes and be regular all week.
