I would agree with the Bethlehem comment.
I do not like the nickname Babyl because it sounds like babble, though I like the spelling. Babylon is just nms, honestly.
I like biblical and science fiction references usually. However, go with Bartholomew from the Bible or Tiberius from Star Trek if you want to go bold and nerdy.
