Jude and Sara Kristiansen have seven children. While neither one planned on having a large family, they had six children in their first five years of marriage. Jude, a drafting architect, has worked for the same firm for twenty-two years. Sara quit her job as a nurse after their first set of twins was born and has been a stay-at-home mom ever since. Their seven kids are growing up quickly and beginning to begin lives of their own.
Stephen, 20, has loved ice hockey since before he could walk. He was drafted to play in the professional league two years ago and currently lives in New York playing hockey. He also enjoys hiking and outdoor activities.
Aspen, 19, has also loved ice hockey since he was little, but doesn't want it to become his career. He plays for his college team and, as a sophomore, is the high-point scorer. He is studying international business and wants to travel the world. He is especially fond of international cuisine.
Jude, 19, played ice hockey recreationally, but never loved it like his other brothers. Instead, he wants to go into medicine and is in his second year of undergraduate studies. He also enjoys traveling, like Aspen.
Rachel, 18, isn't athletic like her siblings, but she enjoys drawing and designing. She wants to become a graphic designer and is looking forward to starting her freshman year of college. She also likes to read and is a great singer.
Owen, 17, is a junior in high school. He plays hockey and is hoping for a career in the pros. He spends most of his time at the gym or on the ice and is pretty much obsessed with his chosen sport.
Jamie, 17, is also a junior in high school. He also plays hockey and is hoping for a shot at the pros. He does, however, have some other interests including music, video games, and rock climbing.
Elena, 15, is the youngest Kristiansen child (and only five years younger than her eldest sibling). She is a freshman in high school and loves to dance. She is very musical and, although quiet, has a great ear for music.
