Brittani met Morris two years ago when she started working at Morris’ workplace, a local chain restaurant called Fran’s. Their manager didn’t like the idea of two of his employees dating each other, but once he saw how in love Brittani and Morris were with each other, he backed off. Morris proposed to Brittani on their six-month anniversary while vacationing at Mount Rushmore, and they’ve now been married for three months.
Year 1
Morris and Brittani have decided to adopt their first child! After seeing an infomercial about child neglect in South America, the young couple felt compelled to reach out. After a six-month adoption process, they brought home a seven-month-old baby girl from Argentina. Her original name was Trinidad Graciela, but Brittani and Morris decided to Americanize it as Trinity Grace. She has been a wonderful addition to the family.

Morris and Brittani adopted their second child this year. This time, they did an Internet search for children to be adopted. They originally wanted another baby, but when Brittani found out about a little Australian orphan who had been abused by her father, the two of them changed their minds. They are now the adoptive parents of three-year-old Kaitlyn Savannah “Katie” Burke. Katie was incredibly shy at first, staying in her room most of the time, but she gradually warmed up to her new family.

She has also expressed an interest in going to the beach, so Morris and Brittani started looking for a good beach. They soon settled on Key West, Florida, where they spent the first two weeks in July. All four of them had a blast, especially Katie and Trinity.

They turned to a realtor friend for help, and they eventually settled on a three-story townhouse in the suburbs. Katie went back to being shy and timid for a while because of her new surroundings, but that didn’t last long. She and Trinity love exploring the house.

She and Katie helped pick out the names; Trinity had her heart set on Ashlee, the name of her preschool teacher, and Katie wanted to name the other twin after her best friend Kylee. Ashlee’s middle name is Jadyn, and Kylee’s middle name is Madelyn. They’re identical, with Brittani’s hair and eyes.

They soon relented and made Trinity promise to take good care of the puppy and keep it out of trouble. Trinity named the Sheltie, Dasher.
