--DD: Sarah Claire Gardiner (2)It has been five years. Joseph and Beth moved into a retirement community last year and, though it took awhile to get used to the lack of space, they are enjoying all the socializing that goes on.
Bryan, Kelly, and Jason are doing well. Jason is busy cultivating a new interest in rocket ships and wants to be a fighter pilot or an astronaut someday.
Violet and Zeke's five children are very into athletics, and most weekends they can be found at one tournament or another cheering each other on. Gavin and Georgie both play soccer (and are very good at it). Davie plays lacrosse. Erica is a gymnast like her mother. Erin just started ballet and is proving to be a natural at it.
Matthew and Ally's brood is also doing well. Dylan starts high school next year and he is both excited and apprehensive. Natalie is the outgoing, social butterfly of the family. She also has a beautiful singing voice. Sophia plays the piano (usually for Natalie's singing) and enjoys anything musical. Nora, who is deaf, doesn't understand the music her sisters make, but she enjoys drawing and painting and creating things. Josh, who is also deaf, likes to be out in the dirt. When he isn't outside making mudpies, he is Dylan's constant shadow. Dylan doesn't seem to mind, yet. Rachel, five, has typical hearing. She is in a butterfly/fairy/princess phase and skips around the house in a tutu and wings most days. Sarah is the baby of the family and, though she is only two, already knows how to make her needs and wants known (and how to get what she wants most of the time).
