Joseph and Beth wanted to give Bryan a sibling; however, they still had a difficult time getting pregnant. After he turned two, they began IVF treatments, in hopes that they would be able to conceive. Finally, after several treatments, Beth got pregnant. Joseph and Beth were both shocked and delighted to find out that they were having twins! Violet Isabel and Matthew Charles were born at 33 weeks, and spend some time in the NICU prior to going home. Bryan, however, loves his new siblings and couldn't have asked for a better birthday present (he turned four when the twins were six days old).
