I love Sylvia! It's vintage, fun, feisty, and sprightly. Not stuffy, but energetic and playful at times, whilst also down to earth, polite and elegant. I really like the meaning, and sound. Awesome name!
Anne I like, but in all honesty I (now) prefer Anna. I do think Anne would be a sweet name; quiet, calm, reserved, simple, but just a touch bland. The right middle(s) would spice it up a bit maybe make it sound more like a cool heroine from a novel.
So out of the two, Sylvia's definitely my favourite, but I like Anne too.
