[Opinions] Ellen

I loooove Ellen and have since I was about eleven. I just think it's a wonderful name though I can't really explain why. It just gives me a good feeling and I love how it sounds and looks.
I certainly prefer Ellen ♥ over Eleanor.
My combo for many years has been Ellen Astrid Caroline.

I like Ellen, I think it's sweeter and earthier than Eleanor. More a name for a farmer's daughter than a noblewoman.
There was a little girl up the street from me growing up named Ellen Anne (often called both, but also just Ellen) and she was also kind and helpful. She left me with Great feelings towards it.
I think I prefer Ellen oddly enough as Eleanor was high on our list if Hector were a girl.
Ellen Maria
Ellen Lisette
Ellen Corrine

I like both. I think Eleanor is a little better but Ellen is more versatile (but also has the potential to sound like a "mom name", while Eleanor is too classic to have that problem).
Maybe some of these combos will work (I'm not overly fond of most of them):
Ellen Diantha

Ellen Opal
Ellen Bryony
Ellen Marigold
Ellen Laurel
Ellen Joan
Ellen Ivy
Ellen Winter
Ellen Gwendolen
Ellen Jane
Ellen Antonia
Ellen Rose
Ellen Catherina
Ellen Padma
Ellen Theodora
Ellen Rosamund
Ellen Vincente

I really like Ellen, it's a mystery to me why it isn't more popular. It beats the cutesy Ella and the sour Eleanor by a back-road mile, that's for sure.

Well considering there are two gay actress/ comedies with that name, it might turn off a few select people! Though they may not be the main reason but a reason to some nonetheless, not that I agree with them!

Ellen is sweet. I do prefer both Helen and Eleanor, but Ellen feels very pleasant and kind.
I think Ellen should be combined with something very colorful:
Ellen Octavia
Ellen Ophelia
Ellen Chrysanthe
Ellen Domenica
Ellen Priscilla
Ellen Patience
Ellen Francesca
Ellen Veronica
Ellen Cordelia

Yeah, I'm right there with you. Ellen has been hitting just the right notes for me lately, too. I do prefer Ellen to Eleanor, but not to the less frequently used spelling Elinor, which sometimes visits my No. 1 spot for females.
I feel like with Ellen, to make it really musical-sounding as a combo, you should choose a middle name with three or four syllables with the tonic stress on the second syllable. Examples:
Ellen Susannah
Ellen Matilda
Ellen Rebecca
Ellen Eugenia
Ellen Virginia
Ellen Sophia
