I like it a lot. It's cute. Albin is also nice so I like it both as a nn and as a stand-alone name. I guess it's a but cutesy by itself. I'd probably use it as a nickname.

I say it AL-bee. AHL-bee sounds like "I'll be!" in a really cheesy southern-yokel accent.

Where I live, it's a nn for Albert, and I don't enjoy it at all.

I love it, although I slightly prefer the look of Albie. It's a great stand alone name (though I may be biased since I live in the UK and it's pretty high up the popularity list) and a cute nn too. I say it as AL-bee.

I know someone who has sons Arthur and Albie. I like Albie (this spelling) but prefer it as a nn for Albert or Alban.

Well, my first impression was that it concerns a female nn, in the way from possibly
Albie or just also Alby to Alberta or Albertina.
For me Alby does not sound after male given name.
I would pronounce it Ahll-bee.
