My son calls my SIL that. Her nickname which he hears MIL call her is "Sissy". Ditty is about how close his toddler talk gets right now, so to me it feels a bit babyish.

It also reminds me of "ditties" for military drill. At least in the Marine Corps they make people use certain phrases while learning to drill to make a a verbal connection with the movements.
