Not a big fan of it

It's an ok name. I'm more or less indifferent.

I used to only associate it with Terantino, like I didn't even think of it as a name otherwise. Then I found a friend's dad is named Quentin and it seemed much more normal and usable. It's a handsome sound -- though I'm never sure if it's pronounced with an aspirated T in the middle or more of a glottal stop. I guess it depends on dialect, but that kind of ambiguity would bother me.

It could be especially cool for someone born in May, or on the 5th of a month. :)

I love Quentin. It was my number one boy name at one point. I don't know why it fell through the ranks, I still love it. I am a little apprehensive about pronunciation - I say "QUEN'in" with the "t" being almost silent. "quen-tin" is fine but feels a bit forced.

Also I always have a really hard time finding a MN I think fits. Quentin Adriel is my current go to.

I love this name. It's one of my favorites.

It used to be one of my favorite names, but it fits in a little too well with the "two syllable, ends-in-n" trend for boys. Even the Qu- blends seemlessly with all the Ks and hard Cs. As a teacher, I'm burnt out on these trends, and they make Quentin a lot less distinctive than it should be.

Quentin is one of those names I feel I should like, but I just can't. I think it's the Q that's putting me off. I like Quintin slightly better though. It looks more balanced somehow.

I love Quentin. It's been on my radar for a while. Surprisingly enough my husband doesn't like the name, it seems like one he'd like. It might end up like Malcolm - a name he dislikes at first but grows on him.

It is certainly underused and rather handsome and would be a distinctive yet not OTT name to answer to. But it's meaning seems so precise nd numerical that it would deter me unless I could justify it in some way, not necessarily as the fifth son!
