I love Nina. It's high on my list but my husband doesn't like it. It's too bad, it's such a spunky, fun name.
I like it. It's pretty and fashionable and lightweight. It's a little like Colette for me- a nickname that stands alone just fine because it's sort of timeless and solid but airy and delicate. Also, both are pretty well know but surprising when you hear them.
l like it, but it's a bit too nicknamish for my personal taste.

It's an okay name
It sounds very sweet, but a tad babyish.
Kind of plain and boring. I've know of some people who called their grandmother Nina in place of other names for grandmother so to me it's kind of an old lady name. There's also a brand of uncomfortable dress shoes by that name.
I adore it! I think it's very cute but upbeat.
I enjoy the natural exoticism of this name, which enhances through a "plain Jane" simplicity - (Jane is another name I enjoy). Nina conveys subtle hints toward the Colonial American connotation by the name of the pilgrim ship - yet it is modernized, though older now, with the early MTV VJs of "Martha" ("Quinn") and "J.J.".
With this name, I also think of the late writing of T.S. Eliot & the early writing of Albert Camus.
If you like this name, I hope you use it.

I think it's a pretty, lightweight name. It's simple, yet kinda classy. But not too classy. Only a little bit.
