[Opinions] Everett
I've always liked Everett. It's sweet and gentle and forest-y. I've never thought much about it though until recently. It's been on my mind a lot and I actually think I'd add it to my short list of boys' names I'd consider using in real life. Of course I don't know how my husband feels about it yet, but we're also not currently expecting any babies.
So my questions for you:
1. Benjamin, Margaret, and Everett. I like it. You?
2. Do you think Margaret and Everett sound too matchy? Our Margaret is always called Meg or Meggie, at least at this point in her life.
3. What impression do you get from Everett and what would you think if you met a little one?
4. I see that it's had a big spike in popularity lately (in the US), which doesn't really surprise me. It doesn't really bother me, either, but do you feel like it will continue to get more popular for awhile or hang out in the 100s where it currently is?
Thanks!
eta: My only real concern with using this name is that my husband had a Great Uncle Everett. He was only related through marriage, so had a different last name, but I dunno if that would be weird for his family.

I like Benjamin and Margaret, and I think they work well together, but I don't like Everett. I don't like last names as first names and as such Everett doesn't seem to be in the same camp as the first two.
I do think Margaret and Everett sound too matchy together. But if Benjamin's name had been Bennett, as user:Erb816 suggested, then there would be problems for sure.
The impression I get from Everett is similar to the impression I get from Emmett, Weston, and a whole bunch of names that fall into the same trendy category of surname names. If I met someone named Everett, I would think his parents were probably just doing it to fit with the trend.
As for popularity, I do think that given the very normally shaped spike in popularity it has seen, it will more than likely crack the top hundred around 2017 and I am guessing it will peak at around #60 with 6,500 uses in its peak year. It's very on-trend as far as names go.

1. Enthusiastic thumbs up!
2. Nope, doesn't feel too matchy for me.
3. Like you, I get a rugged nature vibe, and also nice brightness, energy and strength; would be pleased to meet a new bearer.
4. Popularity statistics and trends really aren't my wheelhouse, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Everett used more.
5. Don't see why it would be weird for the uncle's family.

1. That's a sibset that would work in real life, sure.
2. Meg is a great nn for Margaret, and it isn't too "matchy" with Everett. Now Bennett, Margaret, and Everett would've been too much.
3. Everett is a strong name that I'm easily able to picture on the present generation of boys and young men. I would imagine the parents of an Everett to be rather literary. And I, too, imagine Everett to be rather forest-y... at home in someplace like the Pacific Northwest.
4. I went and compared popularity statistics and was surprised to see Everett had overtaken Elliott / Elliot in the U.S.! But I don't foresee it cracking the Top 100. My bigger worry would be if parents suddenly decided Everett (or... Everette) would be a great name for their daughters.

Everett or Everette on a girl... oh, the horror! D:
Benjamin, Margaret, and Everett sound fine together to me. Ben, Meg and Everett maybe don't go together so well, but I don't think that matters much. And if there are quite a few little Everetts around I doubt anyone from great-uncle's family is going to mind that you like the name.
Would you shorten it at all? I've never met an Everett, so I've no idea if people do shorten it, or what to.

I wouldn't do a formal nickname, but I think he'd get called Ev or Evvie as a little boy. I overheard one little boy being called that once and thought it was super cute. He was also the only young Everett I've encountered.
Everett is a different style than Benjamin and Margaret, yet the sibset is fine. I don't think sibsets have to be in the same style.
Margaret and Everett aren't too matchy. Just a little.
I imagine an Everett to be a distinguished gentleman and I'd like to meet a little Everett.
No idea if it will get more popular or not.

1. It doesn't match, but it doesn't clash either. It'd be fine.
2. Margaret and Everett are not too similar.
3. Everett is one of the few sort-of-trendy names I identify as a surnamey surname name, that I find really likeable and personable. It's ... sort of yuppie seeming? the way any surname name is. But without such a good-ol-boy vibe.
4. Probably get more popular - maybe by a lot, top 50, probably not top 20
I wouldn't give a rip about Great Uncle Everett, myself, as long as he's deceased. We considered naming a son the same name as a widowed grandmother's second husband.

1. Benjamin, Margaret, and Everett. I like it. You? - I do! All three seem warm and homey to me.
2. Do you think Margaret and Everett sound too matchy? - I don't. Especially considering she is Meg/Meggie most of the time. Also, having Ben in there too makes it less so. Thirdly, the stress I put on the last syllable in each name is different. The -et is quicker and more abrupt for me for Margaret than the more open 'e' sound in Everett
3. What impression do you get from Everett and what would you think if you met a little one? - I like it. It isn't one I've ever really considered and I've never met one IRL but I'd be excited to. I think it's very handsome and rugged sounding.
4. I see that it's had a big spike in popularity lately (in the US), which doesn't really surprise me. It doesn't really bother me, either, but do you feel like it will continue to get more popular for awhile or hang out in the 100s where it currently is? - I think it will hang out in the 100s. The sound isn't trendy enough for it to climb too much higher, I'd say.

1. Yes, I do like it.
2. I think that it's maybe a little matchy, but not a big deal.
3. Everett seems to be more of a mature name. I can't really see it on a young child.

1. Benjamin, Margaret, and Everett. I like it. You?
--Everett seems a bit out of place in a sibling set with Margaret and Benjamin, which both seem classic and old fashion. Everett is a relatively common last name where I live, so it just doesn't seem much like a first name to me.
2. Do you think Margaret and Everett sound too matchy? Our Margaret is always called Meg or Meggie, at least at this point in her life.
--I don't think matchy is the word I'd use but the RET(T) ending makes it feel awkward.

--It's an ok name. Just not my style.

--It's hard to say. I'm not a fan of it so I don't really care where it ranks.

Everett looks slightly out of place with Ben and Meg's names, but honestly, it isn't a huge deal. They're individuals, and you won't shout "Ben, Meg and Everett, dinner is ready!" for all of their lives. And Everett is a nice name. I imagine someone young with the name, while Emmett is a grandpa.
I don't think it's too matchy with Margaret, either. Sure, they both sound somewhat alike because of their endings, but as you said, your daughter goes by Meg most of the time. And maybe Everett would have a nickname as well?
Everett might gain some more popularity, but not much if you ask me.
