The user-submitted name Isola says that it's probably a variant of Isolda (and can be a word name from Italy also) and that it was the name of Oscar Wilde's sister.
I think the similarity to Isolda can't be overlooked and it does look like an alteration of that.
I don't care for it, it looks like the beginning of the word "isolation" and that bothers me. I also get a chemically vibe from iso- and -sol-.
