It sounds pretty enough. I thought it was a typo of Isolda at first. I do wonder when people use words from other languages and just make them into names. It's stranger than using a word from your own language that way.

Yes! Isola is an Italian names means 'island'.
I searched on Internet...
ISTAT -istituto nazionale di statistica - (Italian National Institute of statistincs- says that from 1999 to 2014 less than 5 baby girls in year 2005 and 2008 are named Isola.
So it is a unique name in Italy because of its meaning that is a common word.
So...are you Italian Gracie?
