[Opinions] Re: Naming the twins
in reply to a message by CruelPumps
Ok, I'm going to be honest and hopefully not sound too brutal!
I think Roger and Nigel are horrible! Both names sound very dopey to me. I don't think either name fits in with your other children's style of names, nor do Tate, Shaw and Huck. Nicholas and Alexander fit much better.
Hester is nms, I much prefer Esther. Olive is alright and would fit well with your other kids names. Nell is nice but only that spelling, as Nelle could be mispronounced as Nellie and Adelaide is nice.
Other suggestions are:
Agatha, Agnes, Alice, Audrey, Bethel, Blossom, Camille, Celeste, Cleo, Cora, Daisy, Daphne, Della, Demelza, Edith, Edie, Eloise, Emmeline, Etta, Evelyn, Faith, Faye, Felicity, Freya, Guinevere, Gwyneth, Georgiana, Hadassah, Hazel, Heidi, Iris, Ivy, Johanna, Josephine, Juniper, Mabel, Marnie, Martha, Minnie, Miriam, Nancy, Pearl, Poppy, Rosa, Rosemary, Ruby, Ruth, Sabrina, Sadie, Stella, Susannah, Tabitha, Talitha, Tess, Tessa, Tessie, Tallulah, Ursula, Viola, Violet, Zelda
Abel, Amos, Archie, Asher, Ashton, August, Barnaby, Basil, Christian, Charlton, Chandler, Chester, Caleb, Dexter, Darby, Darcy, Edmund, Edgar, Enoch, Ezra, Elliott, Eli, Felix, Finnegan, George, Gideon, Hamish, Hosea, Hugo, Isaac, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Jude, Julian, Leo, Lenny, Lennon, Maxwell, Miles, Milo, Malachi, Nathaniel, Nicodemus, Owen, Oscar, Patrick, Percy, Remy, Rupert, Raphael, Samuel, Samson, Solomon, Simeon, Sebastian, Silas, Seth, Tyrone, Thaddeus, Theodore, Thomas, Vincent, Victor, Wesley, Zacchaeus

I asked for honest opinions, so you can be as brutal as you like :-)
I love a lot of the names you suggest, but none of them feel like the name for our child, and some my husband just can't like. Or I can't use them for some other reason. I adore Rosemary and Basil, but in the same sibset with Myrtle it's a bit ridiculous.
