The oldest son of the former Queen and her King Consort, Walter was taken aback by his mother's sudden death. He had recently wed Princess Eleanor of Glenncroft, whom he had been betrothed to as a child. Newly crowned King, Walter has found himself relying on Eleanor more and more as he establishes his rule. Though they have been polite, if somewhat distant, friends since childhood, their relationship is now growing into one of mutual respect and affection, enhanced by the birth of their son and heir, Prince Arthur, less then two years into their marriage.
