Emily is popular, but it's not a trend. It's been popular for ages. I think it's a pretty name, but I can sympathize with wanting a name that's less popular. If it's something that you really want to do, and your family supports you, go for it. Emiliana is a beautiful name. I would suggest using the name for a while though before you make it official, just to make sure it really suits you.
