Some word names just sound pleasant and they're pleasing to say (River, Halcyon, Journey, etc.). OTOH, some names do not have a pleasant sound and are cringeworthy or jarring, imo. Crimson and Scarlet are examples of this. With each, I think of bright red blood. Not a good thing.
