[Opinions] Re: Kelly
I personally wouldn't use Kelly (it feels kind of dated to me), but on a boy it does have a certain "hipster" charm to it. (I'd expect his sister to be Hazel.)I don't know how many people on the BtN boards watch "Grimm," but the baby boy born this past season premier was named Kelly. In this case he was named after another *female* character, but I still think it fits well. Please rate my personal short name lists (the latter includes combos):

aw, Should have stopped as soon as I saw the word "Grimm". DH and I are fans but it hasn't shown up on Hulu yet so I haven't watched the premier yet and my husband and I are HUGE fans.
Cool choice for them though. Totally makes sense.

GrimmI'm pretty sure you can watch the episode on the NBC website (though there will be commercials). Unless they've taken it down...?

Really? Kelly doesn't seem hipster to me at all, and I can't see him having a sister named Hazel. Kelly sounds more 80's preppy to me, and he would have a sister named Jennifer, or something. :P

I'm with you on the 80s vibe.

The name has more of a 70's vibe for me, because of my uncle and his siblings (Lori, Kimberly, David, Steven, Derrol). But then it's also got this 40's thing happening, a la Gene Kelly.

It's got a 60's or 70's vibe to me. On a girl, a 70's or 80's vibe.
