[Opinions] WDYTO Moira
I was walking down the street the other day when this name just popped into my head and I realised I've hardly ever heard it. I think it's quite lovely.

I was gonna use this as a middle name for my daughter but I like the traditional Maire spelling better
I want to like it, but it falls short for me. I think it's the MOI sound. Reminds me of "moist," maybe.
Yes, I don't mind it either and also have rarely heard it. I wouldn't use it, but I don't mind it.
I knew a few at school and university. Haven't encountered a young one, though.
I like it much better than Maureen and a bit better than Mary. I might well use it if it could only be free of one particular association. What appeals to me is that it isn't, or so far hasn't been, Celtic-fringe sentimental-trendy. It is just, quietly and elegantly, itself.

I quite like it. I think I first heard it in English, something to do with tragic heroes in Shakespeare from what I can remember, and a friend of mine and I thought it would make a pretty awesome name. I didn't actually realise it was a real name. But it has a cool sound, and a kind of dark and mysterious vibe too. I like it.
