[Opinions] BA, brother to Iva
I while ago I posted about a colleague who where expecting her second child, a brother to her daughter Iva.
People here wanted to know the name of baby #2, and I found out today; IdrisI'm a bit surprised. I thought they were going to use a Croatian/Serbian name due to her husband heritage, so it really threw my by surprise to find out they went with an arabic name. I've never even thought about Idris, but I actually think it's rather nice although not something I'd pair with Iva.What do you think?

I like Idris, but it seems a lot next to Iva. Still, it's not overly matchy - just alliterative. Actually, the more I say them out loud, the more I like the sibset. It is certainly not something I would have thought of, or would ever use, but both choices are refreshing and simple.

I like it quite a bit. Idris is a handsome name and Iva is so sweet. I think they work well as siblings.

I like idris and think of the Welsh name first. Don’t like matching names for siblings but Idris and Iva aren’t bad together. There aren’t many I names in use here if they wanted the I theme and didn’t want to repeat an ‘ Ivan’ related name. I’d guess the actor Idris Elba might have been the inspiration behind it.

It's also Welsh! Two of my uncles are Ivor and Idris, so I immediately thought of them. I like the sib-set!
