Another 3 years have passed. Louise and Sebastian were thrilled to welcome their second son. The ornery Emperor Wilhelm was actually happy to learn that his wife was pregnant, but was less happy when she delivered a baby girl. That was supposed to be his son! His heir! The rest of the family, however, is totally smitten with the little archduchess.
At a celebration of the 200th year of the reign of house Koring-Pulitzer-Wright, the twin archduchesses are seen with what appear to be boyfriends! Everyone watched curiously as they danced and drank and flirted with their beaux. Archduchess Agatha's flame is a familiar face. Lord Max is from an old noble family with lots of land and even more money. His family has known the imperial family for several generations, and--in fact--Max and Agatha used to play together as children! A perfect alliance!
There was much speculation about the man seen with Archduchess Christiana. First of all, he appeared much older. He was certainly tall. Certainly dark. And certainly handsome. But where was he from? No one could quite put their finger on his place of origin, and rumors circulating around the ball ID'd him as a Turkish pirate, a wealthy, married Chinese merchant, and an Azerbaijani mystic, among other things. Who was he??
