The war has been a trying time for Ybern. Only the aid of their allies has kept them from being overwhelmed by the strength of their opponents. Yet tragically, the king was lost in the end. Beatrice had feared this might happen - Tarquin was bold and courageous but not overly cautious. Yet when the loss came in truth, she was devastated. This could be understood better when it became evident she was bearing one last of his children. After Alexia was born, Beatrice would scarcely leave her side, leaving much of the governing in the hands of the council - And they have much to do in the wake of the war.
