I think it seems vaguely tacky, and sort of glossolalic, and its use as a person's real first name seems contrived to me. People who really like it are liable to (deliberately?) misspell as Lorelai because that just looks better to them.
Lorelei's brothers: Axl, Pace, Cullen, Malakai.
Sisters: Tigerlily, Tallulah, Jezebel, Calliope.
