[Facts] Yet another Name Game (What's your secret birth-flower name?)
It must be spring fever or something, because I'm launching yet another goofy Name Game!
This time I'll be using an old book titled: *A Floral Calendar and Other Flower Lore* by Marie Angel.
The Floral Calendar comes from medieval Europe, when monks ascribed flower emblems to particular saints, and these flowers became associated with the saints' feast days. There is a specific flower assigned to every day of the year -- and most of these flowers also have symbolic meanings which have been ascribed to them as well.
To find out what your assigned flower is, simply give me the month and day of your birth. I'll even see if I (or maybe PriaposLovs) can anagram a unique name out of your flower for you. :)

March 1st is my birth month and day. Can I have an anagram flower name like the others?
:)

Leek
The leek was given to March 1st in honor of St. David, the patron saint of Wales. In Wales, March 1st is a holiday (St. David's Day), and people traditionally wear a leek on that day (same as some folks wear a shamrock on St. Patrick's day in Ireland).

Why, so you are! I see you're posting from around... Cardiff?
I see now that I didn't need to tell you any o' dat stuff about St. David, did I? ;)

I live in Swansea which is the second largest city in Wales, after Cardiff. So kind of close to Cardiff.
:)
:)
I have a special fondness for Wales. :) I've trekked through Snowdonia National Park and will never forget the wild beauty of the place.

If you can put up with the showers of light rain you get here in Swansea, it's a nice place to live. [more]
I gather that it rains often here because we are near the sea.

Not cool, Charlotte, playing games like that over on Norah's forum.
Nanaea, fair enough airing your comments AT Norah's forum but there is no need to bring it over here unless you are aware of the actual truth. Please go and read my post at Norah's forum. - http://members2.boardhost.com/haggisbutt/msg/17425.html .. Thank
I posted here, Charlotte, so that the same thing wouldn't start happening here.
As I just posted over on Norah's forum, I believe you about your little sister. :)

"Norah Jasmine Winter" is already a pretty enough name on its own, and didn't need any letter-rearranging!
Oh, and even though I've just dubbed Phyllis our "Celtic Woman", there's no disputin' that you're the "Celtic Queen". :)
