One day Aurelia's cousin Flavia brought a 5-year-old boy to the Royal Palace claiming him to be Aurelia's son. It was soon discovered that Aurelia had gotten pregnant when she was just a teenager. She had been pretty wild as teenager and didn't even know who the baby's father was. As the second child of the royal family Aurelia was not expected to become the queen, and had been given a lot more freedom than her older sister (who later unexpectedly died). The royal family had done everything to hide Aurelia's pregnancy, and soon after the baby boy was born he was given to Flavia to raise as her own. Now Flavia was dying of cancer and could not take care of the child anymore. Aurelia couldn't abandon her child again and officially announced that Felix was her son, giving him the title of Duke. All of this caused a scandal in Alexandria, but after some time people of Alexandria fell in love with little Felix who was a very lovely little boy, and soon Felix was the most liked member of the royal family. However several young men were now claiming to be Felix's father which caused a lot more unwanted attention. None of these claims could be confirmed by DNA testing and Felix's real father remains a mystery. Leonidas had known about Aurelia's wild past, but an illegitimate child had still been a quite shock for him. After some time Felix had melted Leonidas's heart and he was happy to raise him as his own.
