DH [33]: Matthew Jacob
DW [32]: Amelia Brooke
DS [6]: Nathaniel Milan [Lewes, Delaware]
DD [5]: Sophia Noelle
DD [3]: Marina Ljiljana [Stari Grad, Hvar, Croatia]
DS [1]: Suchart Owen "Owen" [Vang Vieng, Laos]
Location: Massachusetts, USA
Matthew and Amelia decided to keep their son's birth first name and give him an English middle name, which he goes by.
Nathaniel and Sophia adore their baby brother, and Nathaniel is especially thrilled to not be the only boy anymore. He made it his personal mission to teach Owen how to walk, which was adorable (and quite successful, as Owen is quite the little toddler tornado now!).
Marina had some trouble adjusting to no longer being the baby of the family, but after a lot of time and reassurance things are getting better. We recently had to rush her to the hospital after a bad asthma attack, which was miserable for everyone, but her pediatrician started her on a new maintenance medication and she's been doing very well on it.
Nathaniel and Sophia both started kindergarten this year (we chose to hold Nathaniel back a year to help him catch up on some of the social skills he missed in foster care) and they're both having a great time and learning lots. Nathaniel has managed to avoid needing surgery for his heart defect so far. His doctors are monitoring him carefully as he grows.
