Family background (how they met, what do they do for living, why they decided to adopt, what languages do they speak etc., give as much or little detail as you want): Emma and Adrian are English-speaking Canadians who have been together since high school. Adrian is an occupational therapist, Emma is a vet. Emma also speaks some Chinese as her father's family is from Hong Kong.
